So this week I tried to find a nice reflection photo - several presented them to me, but none worked out, so eventually I decided on this one which admittedly I took the week before and only edited the week after. So much for playing by the rules. This one is the first I actually composed with the moon in mind, and also the first one of the Tower of London from the north side of the river. Hope you like it too.
A record of my attempt to do a project 52: one (reasonably good) photo every week for a whole year

Week three: Reflections of a candle
So having accidentally managed to get my first 2 photos for this month involving reflections, I thought it would be a good theme for the rest of January. This photo was a very simple idea, playing with the symmetry of reflections and shadows. But even after hours of post work I'm still not entirely sure if it works. I blame my computer for its multiple crashes (I may need to get a new graphics card) But now its just going to have to do for this week. Any suggestions as to what's wrong would be appreciated :-)

Week two: St Paul's Cathedral - not from a postcard
I work not even 10 minutes walk from St Paul's. So you'd think I have several photos of this monument, and you'd be right, but all of them ended up looking like I was trying to copy a postcard. So when I was in the area again, looking for something to shoot for the week, I took photos of everything except the cathedral. It was only by chance when I was walking through a new shopping centre on my way back to the office that I looked up and there it was - a view of St Paul's that wasn't a postcard copy. Life's funny that sometimes.

Week one: Thames at night
Ok, so I only just managed to get this photo in the first week. Friday night, taken and edited. I hope that doesn't set a precedent for my next photos.
The Thames is a wonderful river, every time I really see it, it looks different. Maybe its just that before taking up photography I've never really looked at rivers. To me it seems like it has its own moods. But so far I think I love it best when I get nice clear reflections on it like this.
